Our Focus

Our mission is to provide our customers with a peaceful environment for rest, relaxation and reflection. We want our visitors to enjoy the outdoors in this beautiful natural setting, while experiencing Canada's Aboriginal culture.

Whether you're simply looking for a unique getaway with family and friends, or for a taste of our country's native history, Elk Island Retreat Ltd. certainly has something to offer.

Currently we have four 24 ft tipis and one 18 ft tipi. So whether you're on your honeymoon, camping with your family or group, or on a company retreat, we have plenty of room. Each tipi has a wooden floor. Nearby is a firepit, picnic shelter and tables.

We also have two 14x24 ft. trapper cabins each with 12 built - in bunks and a wood burning stove providing comfortable, year round camping.

Along with our tipis and trapper cabins, we provide other facilities that will make your stay at our retreat even more enjoyable. A washroom/changeroom facility is conveniently located at a central location and a shelter is provided near the tipis and cabins for protection against unfavourable weather conditions. Under the shelter you'll find barbeques and picnic tables.

Our tenting sites are treed giving you the seclusion you desire for your camping experience.

We have 36 fully serviced sites with water, sewer and 30 amp power. Coin-operated showers and a laundry room are onsite.
