Yurts: Camping in Comfort
Now you can enjoy nature while still having some of the creature comforts of home in our YURTS. The yurt is the traditional dwelling of nomads from Central Asia. Since the 13th century, yurts have been used by nomadic horse herders as portable homes. Ours aren’t portable but they’re built for comfort with power, a fridge, a water cooler, a gas heater (so you’ll be toasty warm), a comfy bed, and a barbecue with side burner. They even have a 5 foot sky light so you can do a little star gazing indoors before drifting off to sleep.
The yurts don’t have indoor plumbing or running water but there are washrooms nearby.
The yurts will sleep up to 6 people if a couple of people don’t mind sleeping on the floor. We do have mattresses to rent.
Upon request, Pat will serve bannock with jam and mint tea at your site. $8 per person. Have it baked or cook it yourself over your campfire using willow sticks provided by us.
