Now you can enjoy nature while still having some of the creature comforts of home in our YURTS. The yurt is the traditional dwelling of nomads from Central Asia. Since the 13th century, yurts have been used by nomadic horse herders as portable homes. Ours aren’t portable but they’re built for comfort with power, a fridge, a water cooler, a gas heater (so you’ll be toasty warm), a comfy bed, a double sofa bed and a french press coffee pot. They even have a 5 foot sky light so you can do a little star gazing indoors before drifting off to sleep.

The yurts don’t have indoor plumbing or running water but there are washrooms nearby.

Outside of the Yurt is a picnic shelter with a propane barbecue with side burner, a work / wash station, a tub with dishes (6 pc setting). a frying pan, a pot, a wash basin, dish soap, tea towels and dish cloth. We also provide a jug for water (water source at shower bldg).

The yurts will sleep 4 people comfortably. It would be a bit of a squeeze but you might fit 1 or 2 extra persons if they don’t mind sleeping on the floor.

Looking for ideas to treat your special someone? How about a night or two in a yurt? It’s where nature and comfort meet.

Upon request, Pat will serve bannock with jam and mint tea at your site. $8 per person. Have it baked or cook it yourself over your campfire using willow sticks provided by us.
