Trapper Cabins: Rustic, but cozy
You’ll feel like you’re back in the days of the pioneers when you rent one of these secluded rustic Trapper Cabins. It’s a great way to get back to basics. Situated in the beautiful wooded valley that runs through the property there are two 14x24 ft. trapper cabins.
These one room cabins are constructed of a log frame and rough lumber plank walls and a painted wood floor. Each cabin has a queen bed with a single bunk above it and one other set of wooden built-in bunks with comfy water proof, nylon covered foam mattresses. The cabins will sleep 5 people comfortably but you might squeeze in a couple more bodies if they don’t mind sleeping on the floor. There’s power and a gas heater to keep you toasty warm even in cooler weather, a fridge, and a small dining table set.
Next to the cabin is a cook shelter and a barbecue (with side burner) and picnic tables. We provide a jug for water (water source at shower bldg). There is no running water or plumbing in the cabins but nearby is an outhouse and washroom with a jug of water / hand soap / paper towels.
Upon request Pat will serve bannock with jam and mint tea at your site. $8 per person. Have it baked or cook it yourself over your campfire using willow sticks provided by us.
